Be AND Let Be!

I guess my biggest issue is that I despise mediocrity. I despise it in me and of course in people around me. Especially my loved ones. The predictability disapoints me. I mean, when a behaviour happens just because "it  had to" happen, I feel like something is wasted. When someone behaves the way "the polls" predict they would behave, it annoys me BIG TIME. I like to see personal "touches" in one's way of living their life. I find it mediocre when one lives their life in a reactive mode to "what happened in the past¨ . When we are in a reactive mode there is no place for growth to happen. We become predictable. We reduce our life script to merely a page  from the ¨ childhood traumas" chapter of a psychology textbook. Our life than lacks class, grace and nobility. Our life then is petty. I despise pettiness.  I am in other words very judgemental and that is preventing me from feeling fully free. I need to accept that everyone and every life h...

back :)

A lot has changed since I last posted something. I let go of many layers  I used to consider important aspects of my personality and I learned that life would always find a way to show me how ignorant I can be. I used to hide between what I considered "certainties". Not anymore. Everything is to be questionned, humbly and genuinly. It's a much more vigorous way to live this beautiful life. Welcome back!

SHARIA LAW?

Image
Please, be aware that when you say SHARIA LAW you're actually saying "law law" .  Sharia in Arabic actually means "law" or "way" .  You may want to say the "hoodood Allah" -since it's more spooky to use Arabic words- whose violators are eligible to sentences that range from minor to severe, and that are , by the way, still "applicable" in only a tiny tiny number of so called Islamic governments-kingdoms. Be humble, sit down and relax. Fighting nonexistent phantoms will only  lead to you being more stressed. And will give more legitimacy to blood thirsty terrorist groups. And trust me, all those losers want is spotlight. Any kind of spotlight. So do your homework and learn more about the meaning of what you're saying before spreading your nonsense. It's simply ridiculous.. By the way "Hodood" means "barriers" or " limits".

Find the divine around you, in you....

Image
I felt so serene while watching this video. The apparent sincerity in the host's voice is so soothing and of course the message he conveys is very inspiring. While I was watching, I wondered why isn't this message clear and present in the minds of many Muslims I know. Why didn't most of us grasp this same message while reading our holy book Qur'an. Why didn't we do our best to showcase this other yet forgotten aspect of our holy book: beautiful verses inciting believers to seek for knowledge, to learn from the beauty of nature, to be present and do not worry about what went or what is yet t o come. Why do we only see Qur'an as a book of DO and Do not, heaven and hell? while it is a beautiful inspiring piece of wisdom and art. I do not want to go through any socio-political explanation here..All I want to say is that Qur'an is worth reading and rereading. It calls for love of nature, love of life, love of humans, love of knowledge, love of God, love......

And We will surely test you ...

"The universe is made up of experiences that are designed to burn out your attachment, your clinging, to pleasure, to pain, to fear to all of it. And as long as there is a place where you’re vulnerable, the universe will find a way to confront you with it." RAM DASS It reminds me of this verse: "And We will surely test you with something of fear and hunger and a loss of wealth and lives and fruits , but give good tidings to the patient, Who, when disaster strikes them, say, "Indeed we belong to Allah , and indeed to Him we will return."Those are the ones upon whom are blessings from their Lord and mercy. And it is those who are the [rightly] guided."
